Formerly Lead Incident Management SME & Learning From Incident (LFI) Coordinator for Sub-Sahara Africa (UIG), Shell, Uche has over 24 years of Oil & Gas industry experience: 2 years with Intel Services (NICOTES) as Logistics Base Operations Supervisor for Oil & Gas companies and 22 years with Shell (1 year National Service & 21 years of employment). Uche joined Shell in April 1992 in its Supply Chain department, Nigeria and worked as Fleet Control Supervisor, Land & Marine Transport Admin Supervisor, Procedures / Systems Analyst, Senior Field Operations Supervisor (including rig-move co-ordination and rig supplies – Heavy & Medium equipment). Between 1997 and 2005 Uche transferred to the HSE department as Safety Advisor in the HEMP Team and HSE Management (Environmental Audit and ISO 14001). Team Leader – HEMP & Hearts & Minds, a role he was playing until his departure to Brunei Shell Petroleum in July 2005. At BSP Uche worked as Senior HSE Advisor in charge of Operations Services Departments (Land Transport, Air & Marine Logistics, Campaign, Engineering & Operations Capability/Maintenance) from 2005 to 2006. He became in charge of Technical Services Departments HSE deliveries (Geophysics, Studies / Developments, Geomatics, Exploration, Well Engineering & IT) from 2007 to 2010. Returned to Shell Nigeria (SPDC) in January 2011 to take up the Leadership of Incident Management SME and Learning from Incidents Coordination and embedment for Shell Companies in the Sub-Sahara African region (UIG).
Uche has a Ph.D –Leadership (Preston University, California, USA); a PCBR –Business Research (University of Southern Queensland - USQ, Austalia); an MBA – Management (Rivers State University of Science & Technology, Port-Harcourt, Nigeria); a BSc. (Tech.) – Maritime Technology (Federal University of Technology, Owerri – FUTO); and an OND – Accountancy (Federal Polytechnic, Oko [Formerly, Anambra State Polytechnic], Oko)
